Ben makes three-dimensional art. He is specialized in making portraits on the basis of photos. The materials he uses are amongst others bronze, gypsum and caststone.

Art lasts long, life is short. This device is the motto of the sculptor and is especially represented through the timeless character of his work.

Ben's oeuvre includes abstract objects, as well as realistic and detailed portrayal of reality.

A special category within his work consists of his funerary designs.

Ben's work is characterized by a combination of involvement and reservation. Empathy with the subject or person of his design is accompanied by his sharp and accurate observational capacity. This expedient attitude makes his work a curiosity and therefore gets a very specific and characteristic expression.
